A native of Southington, Connecticut, Jay rose to prominence as a multi-position standout at Southington High School, leading his team to two state championships and becoming one of the state’s most dynamic athletes. Committed to honoring his roots, Jay chose the University of Connecticut over multiple offers to stay close to home and compete as a Husky.

At UConn, Jay embraced a major transition — moving from quarterback to tight end — demonstrating the resilience, adaptability, and grit that continue to define his professional career today. Coaches and teammates regarded him as someone who elevated the locker room, set the tone, and brought a dependable work ethic day after day.

After his playing career, Jay shifted his focus to helping athletes navigate the complex world of personal finance — a need he witnessed up close throughout his athletic journey.
